Why bother queueing for a paid plan

Because the thing behind the paywall is the one job nobody enjoys. Pro sends the reminder at 7 days, the firmer one at 14 and the final notice at 21, under your business name, with the replies coming to you. It stops the moment you mark the invoice paid, and you can mute any invoice you would rather handle yourself.

Pro is £12 a month when it goes on sale. The most anyone can get here is 6 months of it, and what that costs you is an email address, a few messages to other trades, and two honest lines about what this app gets wrong.

Questions

Do I have to pay anything?
No. SoloDesks is free to use today: quotes, invoices, clients and a job calendar, with no card. This list is only about the Pro plan, which is not on sale yet. Putting your name down costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
When does Pro open?
There is no date yet, and we are not going to invent one. Pro needs a payment provider that will take on a business in our situation, and that is being sorted out. The list is how you hear the moment it happens, and the free months are what you get for being patient.
What does Pro actually do?
The main thing is Overdue Autopilot: it emails your client a friendly reminder when an invoice is 7 days old, a firmer one at 14 and a final notice at 21, under your business name with replies coming to you. It stops the second you mark the invoice paid. Pro also removes the free plan's monthly limits, puts your logo on every PDF, unlocks the premium PDF styles and the Pay-now link, and takes the SoloDesks branding off your documents.
How do I get more than the month for joining?
Two things together, and you need both. Send other solo trades your link: 1 for 2 months, 3 for 4 months, 5 for 6 months. And tell us what you would change about the app, in a box on your own share screen. It stops at 6 months, so six months is genuinely the most anyone can get.
Why does the feedback matter?
Because it is the thing we are short of. We can see how many people open the app and we cannot see why most of them do not stay, and nobody has ever been paid to tell us. Two lines about what put you off is worth more to us than an email address is, so it is what the free months are actually buying. A person reads them, not a scoring machine, so write it the way you would say it.
My mate joined but my count hasn't moved. What gives?
They have not clicked the confirm link in their own email yet. Somebody only counts once they have, which stops one person signing up five times with slightly different versions of their own address. It usually catches up within a day. If it does not, tell them to check their spam folder or just reply to us and we will sort it by hand.
I already have a SoloDesks account. Can I join?
Yes, and you should. Use the same email address you signed up with and the free months land on that account when Pro opens.
What do you do with my email address?
One email to confirm you are on the list, then nothing until there is something real to say about Pro. It is never passed to anyone else, and every email has a one-click link to come off the list.

The free months are granted by hand to the email address you join with, once Pro opens. Referrals count once the other person confirms their own email, and the months above the first need feedback that a person here reads and judges to be worth paying for. We are not fussy about spelling or length, only that you actually mean it. They are months of the Pro plan, not money, and they are not transferable. If Pro never opens, nobody is charged anything and the free plan carries on exactly as it is.
